Description: Lapachol is a naphtoquinone obtained from a natural source produced
as a tasteless powder of intense yellow color. The anti-tumors action of the product was studied by the U.S. National Cancer
Intitute, whose research did stop without conclusive results. Later Lapachol and
some of its derivatives were tested with good experimental results in tumors
such as the Walker 356 carcinome and much research is again on the way. Soluble
in ethanol, methanol, chloroform, benzene, acetic acid.
